L.A. Girl Pro Matte Foundation In-Depth Review for Extremely Oily Skin

Hello my loves! So today, I will be sharing with you my thoughts and opinion on the L.A. Girl Pro Matte Foundation. I've been eyeing this foundation for quite some time already since one of its claim is that our face will be SHINE-FREE All-Day and being a girl who have a very oily skin, I was hoping that this product will be the solution to my oily skin problem.

I bought this product using the Shopee.ph app at hotfindsmanila (https://shopee.ph/LA-Girl-Pro-Matte-Foundation-i.39587.961428659 ) for ₱445.00. If you wanted to save some money, here's my SUKICODE (SSUKI28CF) which you can use on your very first purchase using the Shopee.ph app and you'll get ₱100.00 off for a minimum purchase of 250.00. (You may or may not use it).

This foundation has a total of 14 Shades and the one that I got is Soft Honey which is a medium tone with a yellow/warm undertone. Here are the shades that I got from their site for your reference:

Claims

With a soft and suede-like finish, PRO.matte Foundation will have you covered and shine-free all day. Creamy, liquid formula provides smooth and buildable coverage for both day and night time wear. Minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for an even, soft focus effect. Paraben free formula with added vitamin E, B5 & sunflower oil.

Packaging

The packaging of this foundation is really nice and looks luxurious. It is contained in a frosted bottle and when you open it, it has a pump, which is very helpful in controlling the amount of the product that we use.

In front of the bottle you will see the name of the brand and the product and it says that it's an HD/ high-definition foundation, it's long wear and it's a matte foundation. You will also see here how much the product contains which is 1 fl. oz or 30 ml.

At the back, you will there the shade of the foundation. It also says that the foundation has a medium to full coverage and it has a smooth, long wear suede finish. And then the direction on how to apply it which says that you can use a sponge or a brush to apply it on your face. The ingredients, caution, the manufacturer, the barcode, batch number, company website and it also says that this foundation is good for 12 months.

As for its consistency, this foundation has a very creamy or thick consistency as you can see on the photo below. And it also has a scent to it which I can compare with a lime or lemon but it's not that strong.

Ease of Application and Coverage

Surprisingly, even though this foundation is thick or creamy, it's very easy to blend whether you use a sponge or a brush. When you use a sponge, this foundation will give you a light-medium coverage and it won't blur or minimize the appearance of your pores. But using a brush, it will give you a medium coverage but you can build it up into a full coverage and it will also help in filling in your pores so I will suggest that you use a brush in applying it instead of a sponge. But just a warning, this foundation sets fast so I highly suggest that you work in sections while your applying it.

(Watch my review video to see how it applies here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S55Fsr87SW4)

The feeling of this foundation is really light-weight. Its as if you are just wearing a pressed powder on your face. My face also feels smooth and velvety when I used this foundation. But this foundation has a natural finish since my face still has a little bit of glow after I applied it on my face. Since this is an HD foundation, it does look good in photos and videos so I think that this foundation is going to be good if you are having photoshoots.

PROS:

- I really like the packaging since it looks luxurious plus it has a pump

- I also love how this foundation feels since it's very light-weight

- I also love the fact that it's very easy to blend and the coverage is buildable

- I also love that my face looks nice in photos and videos when I am using it

CON:

- It didn't control the oiliness of my face..=( (Anong nangyari sa shine-free all day?)

Final Thoughts:

Although it didn't control the oiliness of my skin (which really disappoints me), I will still recommend this foundation because it did outweigh the Con with it's Pros. I think that if you're looking for a budget-friendly High-Definition (HD) foundation, this is going to be it.
